Research Interests:
Dr. Sullivan is Laboratory Supervisor
of the Laboratory for Molecular Diagnosis of Inherited Eye Diseases. Her research
focuses on the genes and mutations causing inherited retinal diseases such as retinitis
pigmentosa and macular degeneration. Dr. Sullivan's laboratory is engaged in i) mutation
studies of genes causing retinitis pigmentosa, ii) linkage mapping in families with
autosomal dominant retinitis pigmentosa, and iii) characterization of the RP1 gene and
gene product.
